Responsibilities:
- Development of Mobile Computing business in Asia (China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan)
- Own the Asia Pacific semiconductor, ODM, and OEM market for Mobile Computing devices and help drive present and future systems to market
- Work closely with Regional Mobile Computing Segment Managers and be their first line manager resource to help facilitate business
- In addition this person will be part of the senior marketing team for the above countries
- Regional Strategy and Tactics - Jointly develop strategy and tactics with region members making sure they align with Mobile Computing teams goals. Facilitate execution of the tactics, help where needed and apply the appropriate focus to keep them on track. Adapt to market changes; communicate changes and recommended change in strategy and tactics
- Regional face for marketing and partner relationships -- Be the company's regional exec working closely with executives at the company's key semiconductor and ecosystem partners who are responsible for the Mobile Computing market
- Insure close working relationship with the company's sales and segment teams - Work hand-in-hand with the company's sales management to develop business in the regions. Work closely with Mobile Segment team
- Work across APAC and Japan -- It is very important that the Asia Pacific Mobile Computing Director be able to work comfortably and effectively with customers, the company's team, and partners in Taiwan, China, Korea, and Japan
- Work in concert with the balance of the company's Mobile Computing team - With managing Director, make sure that the business requirements are aligned and communication with all team members is good. Since most ODMs are in the APAC region, make sure that interaction between the other regions is effective … between Semiconductor and ODM, ODM and OEM, etc.

Qualification:
-
- Working knowledge of microprocessors (RISC), software, systems and SoC designs
- 8+ years experience in the PC industry associated with development of systems for the market. Preference to ODM/OEM experience
- 5+ years demonstrated experience in ecosystem development
- Demonstrated experience working closely with key software companies/organizations
- Deep understanding of Intel’s architecture and PC platforms
- The ability to understand the barriers to enablement and quickly and creatively come-up with ways to move the process forward. This takes a “been there, done that” experience
- Demonstrated experienced working closely with sales and strategic customers to enable large strategic programs and design-wins
- Demonstrated experience in strategic planning, presentation development and presenting to director and C level executives
- Able to travel up to 50% of the time … spending time in China, Korea, and Taiwan
- Understand latest browser technologies and directions
- Wireless communication technology experience
- Working knowledge of cores, tools, boards, applications software, and systems
- Capable of working as a team player or independently
- Able to work well within a matrix organization
- Highly motivated, reliable
- High degree of initiative
- Good communicator, personable
- Able to work and communicate at a detailed or high level
- Proven problem solver, pro-active, and willing to drive issues through to conclusion
